Denaturalizing the Law: Sexual Violence, Race and the Land in Native American Crime Fiction's Negotiation of Justice and the Law

This project aims at exploring how the adaptations and subversions of crime fiction by Native American authors create a cultural, social and political discourse on notions of justice and the American legal system in the face of historical ans systemic violence, with a special focus on gender-based and sexual violence.
