Résumé de la thèse

Health is a fundamental human right. For that reason, health systems play a central role on the reproduction of societies with States being key actors since the emergence of the welfare regimes. In addition, gender inequalities have been a growing problem as they gain more attention and social relevance due to feminist movements and their criticism of patriarchal society. Nowadays, more actors accept a responsibility to try to solve this question that affects transversally a wide spectrum of human experience. This project links the functioning and policies of health systems with the gender agenda in order to understand the impact and effects of health provision as a human right as a way of reducing gender inequalities. This project presents first the issue and the main theoretical currents that guides it. Subsequently it presents the hypothesis and objectives of the research and, finally, the methodology and particularities of each case that has been selected.
